Description
The library is partnering with the Alzheimer’s Association to serve as a watch site for their series of virtual “Healthy Living for Your Brain and Body” programs.
For centuries, we’ve known that the health of the brain and the body are connected. But now, science is able to provide insights into how to make lifestyle choices that may help you keep your brain and body healthy as you age. Join us to learn about research in the areas of diet and nutrition, exercise, cognitive activity, and social engagement and use hands-on tools to help you incorporate these recommendations into a plan for healthy aging.
Then, Klehm Arboretum & Botanical Garden will talk about the Monarch Butterfly and how to build your own Butterfly Garden at home. No matter if you create a garden on your patio or plant them in the ground, join us to learn how your home can become a butterfly oasis!
Please note, this is a virtual presentation organized by the Alzheimer's Association and the Cherry Valley Public Library is serving as a public watch site to increase access to this program. We will not be building a butterfly garden during the program, but the virtual presenter will walk you through how to do so at your home.
