Fun Learning!Program Description
Description
Explore the wonders of our solar system when The Discovery Center brings their portable planetarium! Climb inside the space dome and take a look at the night sky. Learn about which planets are present this time of year, how people discovered planets in the first place, and then visit each planet to learn more about them. For ages 5 to 17. Registration is required. Please register every person who intends to enter the dome (Parents of younger children, please register yourself if your child cannot attend independently.)
Discovery Center has the following guidelines for this program: Attendees must be able to be quiet during the presentation, as the dome creates echoes. Attendees must remain seated so no one trips over anyone in the dark. No food or drinks/water are allowed inside, and no extra objects like chairs or strollers can go inside (assistive devices and chairs for those who need it are exceptions). There is potential for motion sickness, as the presentation is in the dark and contains moving pictures.
Priority for this program will be given to those with Cherry Valley library cards. Those without a Cherry Valley card will be placed on a pending waiting list upon registration. If spaces are available after registration closes, you will be notified of a status change via email.
