Description

Grab your lawn chair and join us at the library for an evening of family fun! We are going to turn our parking lot into a movie theater and screen some of our favorite old movies.

Come early to get a good spot, buy refreshments, and do a movie-themed activity before the show starts. We will have free popcorn, free snow cones, and FREE COMICS to celebrate Free Comic Book Day! Activities begin at 7:30 p.m. and movies start at dusk.

In case of inclement weather, movies will be shown the following Saturday and information will be posted on our website. This event is first come, first serve!

This event is co-sponsored by the Cherry Valley Recreation Committee.

A bit about the Karate Kid:
"Daniel, a fatherless teenager, arrives in Los Angeles from the East and faces the difficult task of making friends. He becomes the object of bullying by a gang of karate students when he strikes up a relationship with Ali, the gang leader's ex-girlfriend. Daniel asks Miyagi, a master of martial arts, to help him learn karate. Daniel then prepares himself both mentally and physically for the fight of his life."
Rated PG. Running time: 127 minutes.
